phone saga (final chapter)
Aug. 19th, 2006 01:43 pmI finally have a replacement phone.
Rant follows - feel free to skip.
When I called them the other night when I discovered that they had no record of my original request, the T-mobile operator said that they might be able to offer a credit of the cost for a replacement card when purchased in a shop. I was using Skype and annoyingly ran out of credit before I could hear the outcome of whether this woudl happen or not.
Anyway, rollforward to today. I found a local store and got a card, only to find out that they hadn't offered that. I know that they didn't have to, that it would be a good-will gestures. I called them up again today to verify the outcome of this decision, and the call-taker confirmed that they'd decided not to, despite it being their fault for the initial delay.
Seems that being a client for 6 years counts for nothing these days.
