Playing soldiers
Apr. 5th, 2004 06:16 pmFor some reason I voluntered to help out with
tax's art project.
mhw and I caught the bus into town and joined
eliaalariel and
tax in Coffee RepublicStarbucks.
There I was provided with a soldier's uniform consisting of DPM combats, a shirt and a big metal helmet. (Liam was aldready in uniform). He and I consumed our drinks and I tried not to feel a fool. It was most comedic. We then went on to several other inluding a travel agent. We also found some anti war protestors so had photos of us signing the petition :-)
The cunts at M&S and Toy's 'R' Us wouldn't allow photos. The latter one would have been especially amusing with photos of us playing with toy guns :-)
I'll consider making photos available later, but I really do look a fool so probably not.
Liam and Frances went home, so Kay and I went to get food. We decided to go to Wagamamamama's - and once again I bumped into someone I knew from Poptastic.
Having eaten we then wandered around Urbis, the city-themed museum. Annoyingly one of the exhibits I wanted to see was out of action (the one of the different smaller communities within Manchester), but the rest of it was enjoyable.
