mattpI started this journal in Summer 2001 which is around the time I moved into a house in Manchester with the intent of staying there for the forseeable future. As such, there aren't many escapades of my time Reading documentmented here. (Ask me in person some time - I've a few gems to share that I won't put online)
Anway, the reason for this pre-amble is to talk about one of my friends Rich who liked playing music at small venues. I'd been to one of his gigs in the past, but none since settling in Manchester.
I'd been on a mailling list for a while but not yet managed to make it to gig. Until today that is. (Well, Sunday, as I retrospectively write this entry)
Earlier in the week I saw a message on the list about a forthcoming gig in Kilburn at The Good Ship and as she knew him too, I suggested to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
bluehelen that she might like to come along.
We turned up and thankfully he remembered us! Admittedly it wasn't my sort of music, but I do so enjoy live music, I'm glad I went and it was great to catch up after so many years. (I last saw him NYE 2000).
