Dreadnought / Saturday
Jul. 1st, 2006 10:50 pmFriday night was Dreadnought. I'd not been before and it was a fab night. Two things are worth mentioning though: 1) drinks prices - totally extortionate, even for London. 2.50 for a 250 ml cup of coke.
2) The toilet valet. I felt a bit weirded out by him. All I want to do it take a piss and wash my hands. I don't want to be given towels by some dude in a waistcoat and have to pay him. It's a solo act, entendre not intended.
Got home as it was getting light and flopped into bed.
Saturday I woke up with the intent of registering with a GP as I've foolishly not done that yet. Found a couple of practices online that are near me and claimed to be open on Saturday mornings, though both were shut when I went there. Most annoying.
Came home and napped most of the day due to getting up early and only having 4 hours sleep. Mid-evening I popped down to Soho for the remainder of the Pride festivities, having missed the march itself. Stayed there for a couple of hours, then came home again. A remarkably light day compared to recent weeks.
