In summary, until such time as I have the engery to provide more details:

Bah: Summer holiday plans thrown into disarray
Yay: livejournal_uk meetup was a huge success!
Bah: was feeling ill most of yesterday
Yay: feeling better now. (approximately 20 hours in bed :-)
Bah: Blueyonder changed my IP address taking down a few locally hosted services. (At least they weren't too critical)
Yay: It's snowing!
