Beleted thanks
Dec. 21st, 2005 04:04 pmAs I said in my phonepost last week, I moved on Tuesday. Russell (WINOLJ), a friend from uni years, called me to ask when I was moving, and upon hearing that I was unloading as we spoke, offered to come over and help. Dad , Lynne and I took that opportunity to eat and found a nearby place to eat, and he arrived in no time so joined us for food too. Then came the mamoth task of unloading. I'm by no means unfit, but I'm impressed by his stamina; Russ was almost running up the stairs with the boxes.
I'm so greatful for that - without him we would have taken even longer and been even more knackered. What better way to be welcomed to a new city, than by being helped on one's first day?
I've still got a few things to get - some crates for storing stuff under my bed and a couple of issues to riase with the landlord. Off out now into town to get a new HDD for my computer (it's making dying noises) and the remainder of Christmas shopping.
