Big Changes
Dec. 7th, 2005 12:20 amI've just spent and insane few days in London. I got there on Wednesday and met up with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mrk, someone I was in halls with during my time at uni. Both he and I came out at more or less the same time, so we share a great deal.
The first time I met him it was at the church in fallowfield when we were both ringing. He recognised me as a co-resident of the same hall and our friendship grew from there. Over the past few years he's been actively involved in fundraising for the renovation and augmentation of a set of bells in one of his local churches and the work is pretty much complete now.
Due to being so busy or tired in the evenings (as a result of my previous job), I'd not been ringing for many months. 8, at a guess. It felt a little odd as my technique had deteriorated but I was fine after a few minutes. I'm looking forward to being able to continue now that I have my evenings back.

Also this weekend wasruth_sedina's 21st birthday party. It was absolutely insane. People were there from Thursday through SUnday and there was much sleep deprivation. I ended up sleeping in the cupboard to find some quiet space :-) In the evening I went to the Dev and met ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
nearly_everyone from IRC. Popped out to get foodage with vampwillow and then returned to the Dev and headed out to slimes. Man, that place is a filthy dive. The music and the company made up for it though. Can't wait to go again, but annoyingly I forget to get a membership application form in.
Left at 7am and got the bus back. Got in at 0830 and slept until midday before heading off to go back to Manchester. Annoyingly the train was a stopping service, but this turned out for the best as the railway line was closed earlier int he day for engineering works and I was on the first train permitted through. Saves getting onto a bus replacement service, at least.
