My weekend

Was working in Aberdeen Wed/Thursday. Flew back to Manc, then drove to Marlow Thursday evening to have dinner with the 'rents who are back home from the Antilles. Was working in Andover on Friday and finished early and went into London.

Saturday was pride, which I'd managed to forget about until being reminded by [livejournal.com profile] ruth_sedina. As is often the case we slept through the march itself, but managed to wander round some of the stalls and catch up with a few people. Went to a comedy thingy in Soho Square by The Abandon Theater. This was mildly entertaining, but they gave out flyers advertising a regular event they have and I didn't feel that it would be worth 5 GBP. *shrug* I'm not complaining about the free event :-)
Then we wandered over to Regent's Park for a picnic and saw several familar faces including [livejournal.com profile] mr_eleganza who I met at the BBQ a few weeks ago.

In the evening I met up with [livejournal.com profile] zapruder (FINALLY! YAY! It'd been far too long) and [livejournal.com profile] jamese and we went to Garlic and Shots and geeked about Japanese, amongst other things. The places lives up to its reputation and all I'd heard about it. Can't wait to go back.

Late evening I went to house party in Ewell/Stoneleigh area with [livejournal.com profile] ruth_sedina and then we headed back home.

Today:
Left Ealing at sparrowfart and went back to the 'rent's house, and then we went a BBQ at one of my aunts house and it was great to catch up with the extended family. My cousins children are 5, and I can remember them being born like it was yesterday. How time flies. Someone else commented on how my hair was going grey :-(
Just got back and am pondering how I'll catch up with 5 days of LiveJournal absence.

ION I've decided to make public the majority of the posts about my tumour. I'm now comfortable sharing that with the Internet populace in general. I'll eventually post it to my own website, once I get around to writing the rest of the conent. That'll be sometime around the 32nd of Septebuary ...

Mistaking it for a F-14 fighter plane, the American warship USS Vincennes shoots down Iran Air flight 655, killing all 290 people aboard. Despite his country's
having recklessly downed a passenger airliner while operating inside Iran's territorial waters, Vice President George Bush declares a month later: "I will never
apologize for the United States of America, ever. I don't care what the facts are."
