Jun. 28th, 2004 09:48 amOn Friday I went to 5th Avenue and saw Paul, Sam&Sam and a few other people whose names I should know but dont. Oops
On Saturday I was working but in the evening I had a friend, Charlotte, visit from Reading. We went to 5th Avenue which would've been a great night except for the fact that I got called out to fix a machine.
On Sunday, having dropped her off at the station to go home (this was around 10am) I spent the rest of the day in town taking photos of some of the cows which have started to appear around manchester.
A dedicated organsisation Manchester Cowparade have sought funding from local businesses to comission several artists to decorate a life-size model of a cow, to be placed around Manchester. There are 150-ish total and they are on display from about 2 weeks ago until October. I managed to see about 50, but there were a few I couldn't recognise which ones they were. I've positively identified about 40, and I'll post the photos shortly. (I'm about to head into work where I have a machine with a working USB system; I would be able to do it at home except for my recent computer failure.) At the end of the parade, the cows will be auctioned to raise money for charity. I'm half-considering buying one.
