I had a headach most of yesterday at work, accompanied with feeling nauseous. Came home at 4 and went straight to sleep. Woke up around 7-8pm still feeling rough. It was most unpleasant. Forced myself to eat something at 9pm which helped some, but ended up having an early night.

It's weird - as a child I would semi-often (4-6 months periodicity) would have a ~24hour bout of illness like this. Then nothing for several years. And now it seems to have returned. The last time was the end of January.

Today is uncomfortably hot. The one drawback of living in a south-facing flat with glass on two sides is that it's like a greenhouse. I watched a music video with my flatmate earlier, but have moved back to my room where it's cooler.

Hmm. Looking at my userinfo (because of something [livejournal.com profile] karohemd said here), I notice another person has friended me. Welcome to my ramblings, [livejournal.com profile] stephmog. OOI, how did you find my journal?

Out drinking with [livejournal.com profile] paj28 in The Font (near the Salisbury) this evening for his birthday.

Wooyay. I've got a driver working for my digicam, so can now start posting photos in my journal.

I took these photos on 2004-04-18 when [livejournal.com profile] duranorak and [livejournal.com profile] robinbloke were visiting for the weekend.

Somehow or other, the road builders made the road in the wrong direction, and then stoppped. They tried to cover it up with a millennium monument (or maybe the 'M' stands for Manchester) and a billboard. It's absolutely mind-boggling how this kind of mistake can be made. Did the workers notice but think that such a mistake could not be made, and carry on building to the foreman's specification thinking "He's got to notice sooner or later..."? I wish I knew the true story behind it.

It's just beneath the Mancunian Way on the A34 near the old BBC studio for those who may want to see it in person.
