I think this is the first dream I've written about in this journal. I'll try not to make a habit of it.

Anyway, the details:
I dreamt that I had a daughter! Details are hazy - I either didn't know, or now don't remember: her name or my wife / the mother. She'd been dressed in a loose fit pale t-shirt of some sort and I was at a BBQ in what I think was the back garden of a house I nearly rented a few months back. She was perhaps 2 or 3 but still loved to sleep in my arms like a baby.

That's about all I remember.

Raarr. I'm so in the mood for tonight's Levellers gig. Just a few hours now.

I've just checked and there are still tickets left, so if you want to join me, [livejournal.com profile] fruit_boy, (possibly Sharm) and a colleague's girlfriend, then give me a call (or reply to this) and we'll meet up.
It's in the Academy, for those to whom the venue makes a difference.

I'll be in the Kro bar across the road from around 1830 if you want to meet me for a drink beforehand.

[livejournal.com profile] dagonet - you come to mind as a someone who might like to come along.

On the style of my journal (and, perhaps about the web in general). I often put links in to explain a bit about some of the stuff I mention. Do you ever follow them?

It's something I've been pondering about the way information is often presented on the web, ever since I read [livejournal.com profile] nmc's entry about a month ago

I'm a fan of the other side of the debate. If you know about a certain topic, then it makes little sense for the information to be presented there linearly. If you wish to know more, though, you can do so by following the link. An analogy which comes to mind is:
Imagine a learner of a foreign language reading a book in that language. They encounter a word they're not familiar with and context doesn't help determine the meaning. They might take a diversion to look up the word in the dictionary, and continue where they left off.

And one more relevant to my own journal. Pubs that I go to. If you know the pub then it's unnecessary to give instructions for it; otherwise follow the BITE link.
Thoughts?
