A little bit dumbfounded

Preamble: This makes a lot more sense if you know some of my family history. I'll confuse you all by summarising with "I have 5 parental units" :-) Do ask if you're interested though - I'm only being dismissive out of laziness. Wow, what a pleasant coincidence. The evening I start writing a letter to my step-mum (with whom I'd recently become a bit distant) - and she phones up. She's coming to Manchester next week and would like to meet up.
