11th Hour

I went to Reading this afternoon to buy Lynne's birthday present/card. I haven't been for ages.

When I left the stationI saw a group of deaf people, but I didn't have the courage to approach any of them. grrr, my shyness.

Saw Rich C and chatted for a while and then got a haircut. Then I went to the Rising and had a few drinks with @people.

Shortly before the train home I ran round the shops and found some recipe books. Those'll do nicely :-)

Lynne's birthday celebrations

I've just had a very nice meal at The Compleat Angler in Marlow. Food was fantastic.

I didn't drink - no surprise there but my dad wanted to. I offered to drive his car (I'm insured) and he agreed. So I drove everyone home in a very nice Volvo S80. Driving an automatic is a weird transition after driving a manual tranmission vehicle for so long. It's also very sensitive on the accelerator *g*

Everyone was too tired when we got home so they went to bed and I played on the 'Net for a while.
