Most people hate the sound of their own voice. Telling you that you sounded fine most likely won't help, but you did.
I think I can only handle hearing my voice as I speak due to lots of public speaking when I was younger (it's probably also made me more of a loud gobby bint, but you can't win across the board). I still get the fear if I have to listen to myself recorded though - it's a guaranteed way to make me squirm and cry and stuff. It could well be down to self image etc - I can look at myself in the mirror but I hate seeing photos of myself (as in real time voice being the mirror and recorded voice being like photos).
Erm, it's late, I'll shut up. Apart from anything else I'm probably making even less sense than usual...
