I have a scan date

I've got a date for the PET scan - Wednesday 20th October. i.e. 8 days time. It's at midday.

I've also been in contact with Paul and Soraya from the production company. Their intent it to film me drinking with a few of my mates the evening before. We're planning to go drinking in Taurus on Canal Street, from around 1930 or so. If you'd like to appear for drinks and be in the program with me then please feel free to turn up.(That's the 19th) We've arranged the alcove bit upstairs as I think the downstairs bit is in use earlier in the evening.

The morning after (on the 20th) they'll be filming me doing my daily routine and of course the scan itself.

Though it's exciting, I'm actually beginning to get a bit nervous; not about the T.V. appearance, but more about the scan and the possible result. Someone hold my hand?

Job/house update

I just thought I'd say a bit about what I've been up to.

My new job has been going well, and I'm learning quickly. I'm having to learn a new typesetting language which is a little quirky but seems to work well. I'll be starting site visits later this week continuing into next. I'm visiting Hollywell, Bradford, Warwick, Leicester and Newcastle. Busy, busy.

The housewarming was good fun. Not too noisey, and just the right number of people turned up. I hadn't (and still haven't) got a music system downstairs so the noise of the server cupboard was prevalent but everyone was computer friendly so it wasn't a problem. In attendance were paj28, Michael, dineleeeee, softfruit and angeoverhere.

Not much of the vast volume of beer was drkun but I did eat a rather large quantity of black forest gateau.

Hmm. Must remember to take the rubbish out tomorrow night. There's rather a lot of it.
