I've just realised; it's almost the end of the tax year and I've been working for less than 6 months. This puts me in the lower tax bracket, so come the end of the FISCAL year (April 1st) I should be owed a rebate. It works out as somewhere around 3 weeks pay, but I'll not complain. I hate the fact we have to pay tax, so rebates are always a nice surprise.
Oscar Wilde was quoted as saying "Two things in life are certain: death and taxes". IIRC there's a second sentence, but I forget what.

Mar. 15th, 2002 09:00 pmI now have a Palm m500. Now I just need to compile USB into my kernel and then I can start uploading more stuff to it.
It's based on a Motorolla 68000, for which I've very little programming experience, but it should be fun nonetheless. I've already found a couple of features I don't like with the supplied applications, but once I'm a bit more
fluent with it, it shouldn't be too hard to work around.
I decided to get the monochrome version rather than the color because the battery life is better.
