Le weekend dernier et le weekend prochain

kimble and barakta. That house is sooo cool. Geeky gadgets and funky IRC interfaces galore. It has re-kindled my interest in electronics and home automation. Perhaps I can get permission from my landlord to do something similar.
Left on the Saturday and went round to see Ian (who I used to live with in halls of residence). He's staying in Manchester for another 4 years and is doing a PhD on environmental physics and measurement, or something of that ilk.
Sunday I spent the evening wiring up the phone system, but didn't finish. I need to borrow some test equipment from somewhere, so if you have a multimeter that I can borrow in the near future then it'd be appreciated.
Next weekend
Busy, busy, busy. Friday night am going tobethanthepurple's shindig - if anyone from Manchester (or en-route) is going then I can offer a lift. Saturday is PolyDay in Leicester (again lifts can be offered) during the daytime then hopefully (if I'm not too tired) to see zapruder et al. That'll be fun; my second time ever driving in London and the first was in 1998. *wibble* I might just park somewhere sensible and use public transport. ruthsedina - are you around and if so do you want to meet up at all? (West London would be a lot easier, I think)
Oh, in other news I have a business card now. 3 boxes were plonked on my desk this morning.
