BMovie / Camden / Old friends

I went to [livejournal.com profile] bmovie last night for the dirst time, and it was excellent. Fantastic music and great people make for a good night. Was especially good to catch up with [livejournal.com profile] bluehelen after losing contact for something approaching 6 years.

[livejournal.com profile] djm4, [livejournal.com profile] duranorak, [livejournal.com profile] adjectivemarcus - Here's the source for the story I was telling you about: Tom Baker will be the voice of BT Text for 3 months from February.

Got back home and did a bit of rearch for work and went to bed some time after 5am. My sleep cycle is highly skewed, but it'll be useful for clubbing this evening.

Today was spent in Camden with [livejournal.com profile] bluehelen. Right now I'm cooking dinner and will be heading off to the Dev shortly to see [livejournal.com profile] cyberpunkgrrl and then off to Slimes.

Hi you. Glad you settling into London life so well, it would be nice to see you up north soon.
Enjoy Freddie's set tonight.

Thought you might like to read this.

Chicken, Sweetcorn & Tomato Soup

2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
### chicken breast
2 tins(400g/14oz) chopped tomatoes
340g/12oz sweetcorn kernels, tinned or frozen
1L/1 ¾pt vegetable or chicken stock
2 tbsp tomato purée
fresh basil or coriander leaves
salt and black pepper

optional - 1 tsp powdered cumin

Method
1. Fry the garlic and onion in olive oil until soft and translucent.
2. Add the cumin and cook for a minute or so before adding the chicken.
3. Add the chicken, and fry til no pink left.
4. Add tomatoes, sweetcorn, stock and tomato purée. Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat and allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes.
5. Scatter with fresh herbs and serve with a drizzle of olive oil. Season well.

I got this off the BBC website and obviously you could do a million things with this, make it veggie, make it spicier.

Sorry. I'd let it expire, but it should have been renewed. I shall prod appropriate people.

All being well it should be back in a day or two.

Now up and running. It won't be up for renewal for another 2 years.
