Beauty, happiness and high quality TV

This post has been brewing for a while, but this post made me put pen to paperfingers to keys and actually write it.

There is something strangely beautiful and surreal, yet strangely daunting about driving on a completely empty motorway with only the cats eyes and lane markings visible. I noticed this when driving to/from Paisley the other week. It reminded me very much of a runway, where the lights are the main thing which stand out, even in bright daylight.

I love Manchester - I love the city and my friends here. It's going to be incredibly hard to move to London, but I'll need to for the sake of my career.

I don't watch a great deal of TV, but I did make a point of watching the live epsiode of the bill shown on the 22nd. It was just fantastic. I know that all TV was live in the very early days, but this was a scripted program with excellent drama and special effects. I was thoroughly impressed with how well it was put together.

I'm off out now to the pub to meet up with colleagues from my old employer, because they're moving onto a new place and they are some of the last remaining "originals".

Catch you later.

hi Matt

I was thinking the same thing about motorways on the way home from York. I also think theres something strangly beautiful about looking out of a window at night and seeing the streetlights stretching into the distance.

We gotta try and meet before you go to Londres
