As I was falling asleep the night before last, upon hearing the wind (and rain) I remember saying to xugglybug that if it was going to be dry then I'd take the kite out. It's a rather large 4-line power kite -
the kind used for doing jumps, pulling buggies, and other mad shit, only I prefer to stay on the ground.

When I woke up it was both windy and dry, so I after running a couple of errands (details to follow in another post when I get bored, else this'll end up being tl;dr) and having a bite to eat xugglybug and I headed out to a nearby park.

We had about an hour of flight before the wind became gusty and uneven[1] - so much so that I decided I couldn't control it safely, and I say that as an experienced powerkiter. There are a couple of photos, but they're not online yet.

Last night I finally signed up to twitter, account name mattpep. Is anyone else reading a member? (Comments screened in case you don't want to dislose your account name in a public post)
