There's an event in Platt Fields park this afternoon/evening called the Garden of Delights.
From an AIM conversation with
dineleeeee who went yesterday:
(11:27:29) dineleeee: ah, I went to the garden of delights last night. it was pretty damn spectacular
(11:27:46) dineleeee: i'd suggest you come down if you're free. it's the last one they;re running for a while
(11:45:41) MattP: I think I might, but don't know much abot the event. What happens there?
(11:45:59) dineleeee: um. its all based round the lake at platt fields
(11:46:04) dineleeee: £1 entry fee and a programme
(11:46:20) dineleeee: lots of performing arts. sculptures and random art type installations throughout the park
(11:46:30) dineleeee: some performances and things. generally a really cool day out
(11:46:39) dineleeee: from 12 midday to 11pm at night (Where it gets better)
(11:46:59) MattP: sounds like fun. I shall attempt to rally a few people up.
(11:47:06) dineleeee: yeah, good idea
(11:47:14) dineleeee: i'm surprised more people haven't heard of it and bothered to go
Platt Fields park is in Fallowfield on Oxford Road. You can see the lake where I filmed the introspective bit for the documentary last October. Map located at http://tinyurl.com/bpu6g
So, does anyone want to come along? I can offer a lift to anyone in the Stockport area (or en route) if that'll be of any help? Ask me nicely and I might even drive further afield :-)
